Excel 2003 Userforms Date

Hi
when opening a new USERform I would like to display todays date in TextDATE field on form and write if not updated to the worksheet field.

Where does this code have to sit for it to display

Not real clear on what you're asking, but if you have a text box that you want to show today's date you simply set the controlsource to Date().

TextDATE would be a control not a field. The worksheet field - I'm guessing - is a reference to an unspecified cell on a worksheet.

Your code and where it goes depends largely on other information you haven't shared with us. Where is your current code that causes the form to be displayed and how is that code invoked? What do you want to see happen with this control on your form?

Without these pieces of information you don't even have a valid question from which to consider an answer.
