Using greater or less than symbols in query by form fields

P: 1
I am using a query by form to provide the criteria in my report query and need the user to select either <0, =0 or >0 to return the desired table values. I've tried numerous things, but it seems any field on the QBF that has anything other than a straight numeric value will not work. I'm pretty much out of ideas.

You can't use QBF for this because QBF doesn't allow you to set the comparison operator. So the WHERE statement that you're generating in the QBF look something like this [yourNumericField]="<0".

So you're essentially passing a text string to the number field which is why it's failing.

You should change the recordsource of the report to a query and rewrite the querydef when the user selects something.
