Combobox Showing unexpected conjoined data

I have a combo box to select a number representing a completion status.

the combo box uses a table as the row source, as below.
CompleationStatusID is PK Autonumber datatype. CompleationStatus is a text data type.

CompleationStatusID CompleationStatus
1------------------------- LIVE
2------------------------- Achiever
3------------------------- Withdrawal
4------------------------- Suspended

When 'Achiever' is selected the value that is shown in the combobox is 'Achiever Withdrawal Achiever'. I can't work out why this is when there isn't a record with this text to even get swapped with.

Please post the exact Control Source of the ComboBox.

Also, examine the table and use Shift-F2 on the [CompleationStatus] field values to see if any have embedded new lines etc.

NB. Completion is spelled without any 'a's.

That's what happens when you create tables at 3am in the morning. Could be a bit of a job to change it now as I've probably refereed to it in many forms. Thank you for pointing that out.

Sorry NeoPa do you mean the SQL for the control? if so here it is below:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. SELECT TBCompleationStatus.CompleationStatusID, TBCompleationStatus.CompleationStatus
  2. FROM TBCompleationStatus
  3. ORDER BY TBCompleationStatus.CompleationStatusID;
Also, examine the table and use Shift-F2 on the [CompleationStatus] field values to see if any have embedded new lines etc.
Nothing happened when i pressed Shift-F2 but i also deleted all the text for 'Achiever' and then retyped it just encase.

p.s. thanks for sorting out the picture on the post

I lied.

Shift-F2 didn't do anything, and i removed the text but i just went to copy the 'Achiever' text again. and low and behold i was able this time to select more text.Last time i think i just double clicked to select the text and this must have only selected the first line. Clicking and dragging showed the other lines. Not sure how they got there. But they have now been removed.

Thanks for your help once again NeoPa your a star.

Good for you Reginald.

It was going to be one or the other I suspected. It turned out to be the data in this case (probably set up at 03:00 :-D). I'm glad that helped anyway :-)
