Page Header in 2 Column Report

I'm creating a report to print in 2 columns--across then down. I want the page header (which has the field names) to print over BOTH columns, but can only get it to print over one column. How can I do that?

I intend to use this report as a sub-report.

When you go to page setup in print preview and select two columns as you're doing, there appears to be no way to get the column headers to appear over both columns. There is a nice trick to use though.

In report design view, you have the column labels in the page header section; copy the labels and paste them off to the right a bit where the second column will appear, so as to have two sets of column labels. When you open the report in print preview, you'll see the two sets of column headers.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say that it only prints over one column. Are you saying that only one column has its field name over it?

No. The report has 3 fields Those 3 fields comprise 1 column.
This will be a sub-report to a main report. It's an electrical panel board schedule.

It kind of looks like this (I can't get the file size small enough to attach).

Cir Size Description
1 data data 2 data data
3 data data 4 data data

I WANT it to look like this
Cir Size Description Cir Size Description
1 data data 2 data data
3 data data 4 data data
