Access 2003; Can I use a combo box to generate a text field?

I am new to access and I'm having trouble finding an solution to my problem. I have a combo box, 'Priority' with 4 options; 'priority 1', 'priority 2', 'return', and 'shop generated'. I also have a text field for a completion date on the same form. I want to know if it is possible to automatically have the completion date generated when the 'shop generated' option is selected in the combo box. Like I said I am new to access and have limited knowledge, so if this is somewhat difficult I will have to just ask someone in my company to complete this for me but I would love to do it myself and learn how this is done in the process. Thank you so much!!

Sounds like a good attitude Jennifer. I'm sure what you want is possible, but to help more directly I'd need to understand what logic should be followed. The logic of your explanation has a few holes in it (It doesn't say what to do when the option 'Shop Generated' is not chosen for instance). It also doesn't include the names of any of your objects. In short, the answer is yes. We can help you. You need to consider working on how you present your question first though. With your positive attitude though, I'm sure that'll be no problem for you.
