reverting back to original window.

hi... i have little to no experience writing code or programs. but i am trying to teach myself. i am writing a program with vb 2010 express. i made the page, added a button and made it to open to a new form ( form 2 ) with the button. but when i hit the cancel button on form 2 it shuts everything. how do i get it to go back to the original form ( form 1) it's very aggravating. i've looked at alot of you tube vids for help but can't find out how to get back.... please someone help. thanks.

The inbuilt language for Access is VBA. Not VB (Neither .NET nor any earlier version).

If you've chosen to use a version of VB instead, then you seem to have made life difficult for yourself. I can only suggest you look at some of the Access tutorials around on the web and reconsider your approach (Microsoft Access Tutorials (Strive4Peace)).

If you're still of a mind to work with VB then I suggest you repost your question within the VB forum but explain the Access database side much more fully as the experts there are less familiar with it all (though obviously they'll be better able to help with the language side of things).
