Reusing existing Access 2007 application in a different context

I have a MS Access application on my desktop. I now want to use the same application for another purpose with minor tweaks to the code. Can I create a copy of the application on the same location without having an impact on the existing application.

Yes. A copy of the file should work fine and allow you to make tweaks that won't effect the original.
