How to create a query that has multiple criteria and range operators?

Hi

I have been having trouble with a query and it's driving me around the bend.

I have to sort the results of athletic events. In particular I have find which events are FINAL or SEMI-FINAL rounds, and their session is NOT EVENING and not TWILIGHT (there are morning, mid-morning, afternoon as well).

I'm getting mixed up with the AND's and the OR's and where to input the proper information.

I tried it by putting FINAL in the criteria field and then SEMI-FINAL below it in the OR section. But when I put the other information in for Session, it wouldn't show any results. So I put the "NOT Evening AND NOT Twilight" in both the Criteria and the OR section. But I'm not sure this is correct. Can anyone help?

It's really small so it's hard to see but it looks like it should work. Is it not working? If it's not, can you post some sample data and expected results?

Attached is the query after being run. It looks fine to me. I should clarify that this is for an exam that is graded online by a third party. It is for one of my students and they failed the exam on this question. It looks fine to me, so I'm not sure why they're failing here. The company that runs the exam is not very forthcoming when anyone questions results so I wanted to try to find the answer before I went to them.

Many thanks!
