Scatter chart in Access 2010 report

I am a special ed teacher. I am using Access to track data. My ultimate goal is to provide parents with a scatter chart with a trend line based on two fields from a trial results database. The fields are Trial_Date and Trial_AVG. Basically one student will have a number of results from work in one goal over a number of days. When I create a report with the two fields sorted by Date, the report correctly lists a date and a bunch of Trial_AVG's listed below. When I try to insert a scatter chart, the best I can get is 1 plot (or Chart) per Trial_AVG result, rather than all of the averages plotted on a single chart. Is Access capable of creating this chart or should I structure things differently? Exporting to Excel each time I need to report results would be very cumbersome.
