open a form at a specific record from a report

i have a report rptDisplay
and i want to be able to click on a field and the form frmEdit to open on the spesific filed i clicked

any thoughts?

You seem to have things somewhat backwards. Reports are just a piece of paper and not interactive. Are you talking about two forms? That would make more sense.

I think you should consider using a form instead. As RuralGuy says, reports are not interactive objects.
