How to set a static variable?

Hi!
I want to set a static variable that won't change even if the program ends and that i would be able to update if necessary.
the only way that i can think of is using a table for that, but that is ridiculous!
help, anyone?

If you want some value to persist between Access Sessions, and if you do not wish to write it to a Table, then you can write it to the Registry where it can easily be Retrieved/Modified at any time, for any given Session.
