Date filter not working in Access 2000

There is column ( Data Type – Text) which has dates ( in both MM/DD/YYYY and DD/MM/YYYY format) , when pulling all the records between two dates say 09/01/2010 and 09/30/2010, it works fine on my system which has date settings in control panel has October 5th 2010 however, it does not work on Customer PC whose date format is 5th Oct 2010. tried format , cdate ..still not working please suggest

The cause is the non US date setting in the Regional setting (See the Control panel).
Access will "flip" dates having an illegal month without any warning, so:
31/12/2002 becomes 12/31/2000, but
11/03/2002 will stay 11/03/2000

Best to save the text field when in the Regional settings the dates are in "US format" into a date type field.
