Cant export reports from qbooks, said wrong excel-think have corrupt database

Trying to export reports from Quickbooks to EXCEL- this used to work fine until I just had my PC cleaned and tuned up. When I try to export I get an error code that it is the wrong verison of EXCEL. I have Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 on my machine. So I tried to delete the program and reload, wont let me, tried to download the latest service pack from microsoft from internet, went through whole download and I got an error message that I may have a corrupt file?? What should I do?
