Tab order on a form's tabbed control

I'm creating tabbed controls on my form to help organize the fields, and that's working great, except that I don't seem to be able to control the tab order in my usual way, which is simply typing in the tab index in the properties.

Is there some other technique I have to use with tabbed controls?

When you reset the tab index in the properties it resets the tab index of the controls following it. Every time you reset a tab index you need to check the other indexes haven't changed.

I guess I sort of knew that, but was going about it the wrong way. Thanks!
