Find last record input of certain criteria

Hello,

I have a basic database to record all customer orders for the Skip Hire company I work for. At the moment I use the 'Find and Replace' function to search through the database so when I need to find the last record of when a certain customer had their skip changed over, I need to scan through almost every record for that customer.

This is probably really simple and i'm not familiar with the filters, however, what I need is a search function to find the last record input for that customer and filters for the criteria.

e.g
Find Last: Company Ltd
Skip Size: 8YD

I would suggest learning how to use the Query Design grid. It allows you to add the table(s) and corresponding columns that you will pull the data from, and sort the results based on the columns you choose (in your case I assume that would be a date column).

In your case you need to be able to input the customer that you want to filter on when the query is run. As a result you'll have to add a parameter to the query, which the query will ask you for. In the query's design grid, you would have to put that parameter on the criteria line for the customer column, so that when the query pulls the results, it will do so for only the customer you specified in the parameter box that pops up when the query is run.

I hope this is enough to get you started.
