Can't add field to a secure Access dB (I am Admin...)

I am the administrator for our database. I have added a field in the table that I intend to use in our form. The form is used to enter all the data because we have many, many fields and it is easier to view it as a form. Unfortunately, when I access the field list from the form design view, the field does not appear. Going back to the table I see that it is there. I am in a conundrum! Where is my field when I try to add it to the form?

This is the first time I have tried adding a field to the form after adding user security (we each have to log in to the dB now). Could this be causing the problem?

Bottom line is, how do I overcome this issue so I can add fields to the form?

Have you closed and reopened the design of the form since you added the field to the table?

If you've tried that then you're going to need to be a bit more precise about what you've done. "I am admin" is pretty meaningless without explaining what that means in your context. Exactly what is set up security-wise and which version of Access you're using would be minimum info.

NeoPa, thank you for your reply. The version of Access I am using is ver. 2003 (11.6566.8132) SP2. The only security being used is the workgroup set up by myself for this dB and user permissions (not using group permissions at the moment.) I am designated with Administrative rights in the user permissions and can read and modify all data.

I'm sorry, I forgot to add that I have opened and reopened the design of the form many times.

Found problem - a few months ago I had to create a query to pull all my parts out of our dB for me to work with in my form and forgot I had done that. Added the field to that query, and I am in business.

So, the field was available in the table but was not included in the query the form was based upon (bound to)?

Sometimes it can be rather less than obvious to find something like that.

Well, it seems quite obvious now that I think about it. I had a stroke and have a hard time remembering things so the fact I created that query surprised even me (even though it's only been about 2 months since I created it...). Thank you so much for taking the time to help me! It is greatly appreciated!!
