May be simple for EXPERT but not for Me!

Hello All,

First, I'm new into access and been playing with it for about a month.
The database I'm working on takes care of equipment and when to do the maintenance on them etc..
Let me explain my problem:

A database with the list of equipment, date etc... is on a sharedrive
BUT
Another Database (or switch board is install individually on each C: drive)

So The interface which is in the C drive wpull the information out of the sharedrive so anybody who has the database install on their C: drive have access to the same information.

Problem:
I created a new table & form on the database located in the sharedrive, but when I open it with my database interface (located on the C: drive the new table doesnt appear).
If I import it works fine, but does that mean everybody will have to import the new table? I was hoping it will update automatically according to the data on the sharedrive.

I don't know if it is clear or not... but any help would be appreciated.

OK its difficult to say without actually seeing the setup. However, I would guess that the sharedrive only contains the data tables and all the queries, forms, reports etc. are on the interface on the C drive. This would be standard practice as they can be duplicated without any difficulty from multiple users.

Now although the data tables are located on the share drive normally the interface on the C drive contains links to those tables.

So move your form to the interface on the C drive and all other users will have to do the same.

Then go to the tables listings in the interface and create a link to the new table on the share drive. This should solve your problem.
