I need help on Access 2000. Creating a form to save new records.

Daniel B
I am building a database and I would like to create a form based on several tables that allows me to enter data for a new record, save it, and store it back into the original tables. Any comments or advice would be much appreciated..

I also have a deadline for this project, and I need to have most of this done by Monday, Aug. 16!

Since you didn't ask a specific question but just want advise... I have always found that when using a form that has to reference data from multiple tables I find it easiest to create a simple SELECT query that has all the fields from all the tables I want to work with in the form and then bind the form to the query.

cheers,

Good advice.

You may want to check out Reasons for a Query to be Non-Updatable to ensure your query stays updatable.
