mdb file is unrecognized database format

Dear friends

I have an access file (*.mdb) working on office 2003 sp2

when i am opening the file i am getting the bellow :

unrecognized database format

I've tried to compact and repair but still getting the same error

Thank you for pointing me to the right direction

Hi Wassim. Your database appears to have been damaged beyond what Access can itself recover.

You could try creating a new, blank, database and importing all objects from the damaged database into the new one - but the new one may not be able to recognise the old one as valid and may not be able to import any of its tables, queries and so on.

The safest option in these circumstances is to replace the damaged database with the most recent backup copy - assuming you have one.
