Cant import all access queries to excel

okay, I got this problem:

I know how to import tables and simple queries to excel from acess. But queries that requrie the user to type in for example a date are not possible to import. They are not found in the list where you pick your table/querie that you want to import.

Im thinking that you need to import with "Microsoft Query", but then I get error message that the query cant understand the function calc_age_months witch I use in the querie.

please help

Hi. When you use bespoke functions that are in an Access code module these will not be recognised by Microsoft Query running in Excel without that code module; there is no way it can resolve the function call as the function does not exist when it tries to interpret the SQL you've exported.

You could try importing the bespoke function to an Excel code module in the workbook in which your MS-Query version is running, as long as you are not using Access-specific features in your function.

I have not tried this with MS-Query in Excel, so I cannot say for certain that it will work, but it's worth a try.
