How to search using filenames

I basically have been asked to design a database in access which will basically search amongst records using the filename which is going to be alpha numeric. I've been able to link all the files together but am having some trouble with the searching kindly help any help will be purely appreciated.

"...search amongst records using the filename...I've been able to link all the files together..."

I'm afraid you're going to have to do a much, much better job of explaining what you're trying to do in order for anyone to help you!

What records? Records in an Access database? Or records elsewhere?

What kind of files? Access database files or some other kind of files?

Any opening of one form (FormB), with a view to displaying data related to a selected item on another (FormA) can be done by opening [FormB] with a specific filter (WhereCondition parameter) built to include the value of the control on [FormA].

Some examples for this can be found in Example Filtering on a Form.

I'm afraid if you want anything more directly related to your particular problem then you will have to post a question with some basic information in it (as Linq explained). This falls well short of that I'm afraid.
