Data access page customising new window open

374 256MB
Hi all,

Basically back on the data access pages again. I have a hyperlink on my main page to open up a second page which has a server filter linked.

What I am basically asking to do is how would I be able to set the window properties of that new popup. I would liek to remove the scrollbars etc and clean it up so it looks more like a box.

I have looked on the microsoft site and a few others but it all seems a very long winded way to do something which essentially I feel would be quite easy to do.

I am aiming to keep this to vb script. My current code for the hyperlink is as follows:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <A
  2. id=Hyperlink0_Anchor
  3. href="file:///\\NUTS1FAA\mobbe00C$o$\KPI%20&amp;%20NCCs\NCC%20reporting%20system\totalrecord.htm"
  4. target=_blank><SPAN class=msoHyperlinkDisplayText id=Hyperlink0 title=""
  5. style="FONT-WEIGHT: 700; FONT-SIZE: 8pt; Z-INDEX: 1; LEFT: 13.706cm; OVERFLOW: hidden; WIDTH: 2.883cm; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 3.995cm; HEIGHT: 0.423cm"
  6. MsoTextAlign="General">View record in full</SPAN></A>
However I just created the link using the standard toolbox method and set the server filter within it producing the hyperlink:

file://NUTS1FAA/mobbe00C$o$/KPI%20%26%20NCCs/NCC%20reporting%20system/CorrectiveAction.htm?ServerFilter="CorrectiveID = 525"
Where 525 comes from NCC_ID

Is there a way to have some vbscript reference the name/id of the hyperlink code to set the properties maybe?

Any suggestions welcomed.

Quick reply I have managed to work out how to get the server filter working correctly using a command button to click and open the page:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <SCRIPT language=vbscript event=onclick for=cmdlinkbutton>
  2. <!--
  3. Dim vServerfilter
  4. Dim vLocation
  5. vLocation = "CorrectiveAction.htm?serverfilter="
  6. vServerfilter = chr(34) & "CorrectiveID=" & MSODSC.CurrentSection.HTMLContainer.children("NCC_ID").value & chr(34)
  7. vLocation = vLocation & vServerfilter
  8. window.open(vLocation)
  9. -->
  10. </SCRIPT>
Another issue has turned up which I will leave for a new thread
