How to Link SQL Server Views to ACCDB

124 100+
I have an .accdb that is linked to a sql server db. I can see the sql db tables in the Navigation Pane. However, I have views, stored procedures and functions on the sql server that I want to link to but I don't know how. If I go to External Data/Import Data and try to use the ODBC data source, I can import the views as tables but I obviously don't want to do that. It appears that all I can do is link tables. Is this right? Do I have to recreate everything in the accdb?

I don't have MS SQL available, but I do know that for getting procedures etc available you should use the Access Project. Just check the Access help on that.

Using Access 2003 I link to SQL views without problem. They show up in the same list as the SQL tables, sorted within the list just like they were tables.

Yes, you should use .adp (access data project)

This give you access to all stored procedures and also gives you ability to make design changes at the tables located at SQL server
