Access 2007 Cascading combo boxes question...

P: 4
Hi All,

I am a GIS analyst with zero experience working with Access. Everything I do know has been 'self taught' by browsing websites like this one.

So we're off to a good start, right?

My problem:

I have a form with 2 combo boxes. I have Combo1 set to show the field list of my table. It works great.

What I would like Combo2 to do is show the distinct values available in the field selected by Combo1 - so for instance, if I select "Date" from Combo1, I want Combo2 to list all of the distinct dates in the "Date" field. If I select "Location" in Combo1, I want Combo2 to list all of the distinct locations in the "Location" field, etc.

Once I figure that out (or once I am shown how to do it by one of you fantastic people), I will want to use the values of both combo boxes in a query, but I'll worry about that later.

Clear as mud? Great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
