Ranking in Query in Access 2003

1
Hi
I'm quite new to Access, I can do queries and only a very little bit of code. So please treat me gently.
I have a query with the following fields: Area, Engineer and PC. The PC is a percentage score for each engineer and I need to add a new field that shows the rank of that engineer, when comparing that engineers PC against all of the other engineers PC in that Area.
If needed I can break the query into the various Areas, but would prefer not to.
By Ranking, I mean that the Engineer with highest PC will be ranked 1 and the one with 2nd highest will be ranked 2, etc. If there are more than one Engineer with same PC, they all need the same ranking (similar to rank function in Excel)
I have tried various other Rank solutions posted on this site and just get myself very confused.
Can anybody help?
This is my first submission, so I apologise for poor presentation or detail. If I need to change or update things please let me know.
