Fields in date tables and their data types

i'm creating a timetable database and in my date table has these fields date code and date details and i don't know what type of data to be stores under date code fields so can you help me.

Access has Date/Time fields.

These are stored as double-precision real numbers where the integral portion reflects the date part and the fractional (decimal) part the time.
