Concatenate detail data in a report

I have a report that shows the details of currently unhandled production errors which shows a comment of what exactly the error was, along with another report that shows how many production errors each operator has had over a week (handled or not).

What we'd like to do is put all of those comments on one line of the weekly report. The weekly report has all of that info in an invisible detail section, while the visible header section that shows the operator's information just gives a rollup of the number of errors via a calculated running sum. So, the question is, is it possible to have a field in Detail that concatenates each of the comment fields, then link that to a field in the header to show all of the fields, similar to the running sum text box? Or, is there another way to handle this (outside of a mess of code, that is)?

Have you looked at Combining Rows-Opposite of Union. Let me know if I'm understanding you correctly - if this is along the right lines.

Yep, that's pretty much what I'm looking for. Thanks, NeoPa. It's good to have someone on here who's been around long enough to recall what was in the older postings, because searching can be pretty useless if you don't use exactly the right terms.

Well, that was one that got asked a number of times since I've been here. I also keep a database of common threads that I link to. It doesn't always yield results, but mostly it does.

Anyway, I'm pleased I could help. Considering all the effort you guys put in, you deserve a bit of help yourselves when you need it.
