How to connect a c++ application to an access database

am developing an application that will simulate a library management system and am asked to use c++ for that and access as database. I put that in c++ section and was moved to the access one

If your primary language is C++ and you become proficient at it you could no doubt write your own database application and are best served by remaining with a forum explicitly designed for C++ and asking your questions there.

This Access forum deals essentially with the program mechanics of 'Access' itself. ie: how to create tables, forms and other Access specific material.
