the database engine could not lock table

P: 1
I have a macro that closes a form and updates the table it is based on, then reopens the form. If I run the macro from the side pane it works fine, but when I try runninng it from a button on the form I get the following message:

the database engine could not lock table ' Upload ' because it is already in use by another person or process.

It must have something to do with the form, but I cannot decipher it.

While the form is running the code, it cannot itself be closed. You don't say, but I guess this is the form you're trying to close.
