Access 2007 slow when accessing data through SQL path-through

Hi, I'm having major performance issues in testing with Access 2007 after Access 97 applications are converted (.mdb) format. Loading of forms or reports are 2-3 times slower in Access 2007 than in Access 97. Roughly 1/4 of our applications are affected by this problem. The problem involves those retrieving data from the backend SQL 2005 through ODBC. I ran SQL profiler and the same form/reports/code run under 2007 cause the SQL stored procedures to execute 3-4 times for each call, where execution is only once under 97. All the hotfixes have been installed up to hotfix 973405 (from Oct. of last year). The bug with stored procedures executing multiple times when opening a form/report is supposed to be completely fixed with this hotfix, according to Microsoft. But, I'm still experiencing it. This is the same result I got after testing both 97 and 2007 on a same computer and running SQL profiler. Same SQL native client, same SQL 2005 backend ... Tried everything with Access 2007 (turning off name autocorrect, error checking, subform, etc. etc.) to improve performance but the bottom line is, on the very same computer, 2007 executes SP multiple times. Am I the only one experiencing this? Is this the norm with 2007? Did Microsoft fix the bug only partially? Please, please comment.
