Under design view

1
when I try to view my form, it comes up with page headers + footers and the centre looks almost like an excel spreadshett.
How do I change it so it shows the normal form layout?

"Normal form layout" really doesn't mean anything. I'm assuming by your post, with the header and footer visible, that the form is currently in Continuous View., and has been tweaked to look similar to a Datasheet View, or as you put it "like an Excel spreadsheet."

In Form Design View, with the form selected, goto Properties - Format and change the Default View Property to Single View and see if this is the "normal form" style you're looking for.
