Access asking for password


I have Access 2007 installed at work, and last week it suddenly started asking me for a username and password whenever I try to open anything, even a new database. If I log in to my computer with someone else's ID, everything is fine- and if I use my login on a different computer, it's fine- but using my own login on my computer doesn't work. Our IT department are at a loss.

I've done some googling and it seems that it's a problem with the workgroup administrator. On the Microsoft help page, I found something that says I can fix it by going into a database and entering some visual basic, which I would do, but I can't open a database to do it!

Any ideas?? All help much appreciated.

What was the VBA code you were given. Is it something you could run in an Excel module?
