Using checkbox to show date/time...please help

I am trying to set up a form in db with items that have to be completed and when completed they check a "check box" and then I would like that to show a date/time in a text box. I have tried to use macros to do this with no luck...please help

hi flyboy,

Are you trying to write date and time at the moment check box is clicked?
you can do that in after update event of the checkbox.
write a code there similar to:

If Me![CheckBoxName]=True Then
Me![TextBoxName] = Date
End If

Thanks for you reply, I finally figured it out by another method, this is what I used;
If Me.c1a Then
Me.vp1a = Now
Else
Me.vp1a = Null
End If
