Gutter or Mirror Margins in Access

Hi, I have been trawling round the net trying to find an answer to this, but all the solutions I have found so far have given me errors.

I have a three-column report (attached) that needs to be printed on both sides of the paper (duplex) for insertion in a three-ring binder.

Page 1 = Left margin 0.7 inch Right Margin 0.125 inch
Page 2 = Right margin 0.7 inch Left Margin 0.125 inch
and so on...

I have tried every solution on the web, which are variations on this: But I get an error each time.

I appreciate your advice and help. Thank you.

You tell us that you've tried and got errors, but you don't tell us what you've tried or what errors occurred.

Attachments, though they can prove helpful in some circumstances, should never be used as a substitute for a properly explained question. Links should be considered to be similar.

Hi, thanks for replying.

All of the code snippets that I have tried, including the one in the link, and this one here do not change the margins at all.

The attachment is provided to show the output format.

I also get the message: Run Time Error 2100, the control or subform control is too large for this location.

It doesn't matter if i change the twips number to a very low munber, I still get the same error

Perhaps I can be clearer :
Please post a set of code that you've tried (your code - no links to other posts please) and indicate which error you get, and on which line the error occurred. Be sure to include the CODE tags around your code when you post it.

The attachment is not a problem. It may even prove useful later on, but it is not a part of the question as far as I'm concerned.

What's the problem with showing a link? I tried the code exactly as in both examples shown, and got the error as I stated.

Four problems :
  1. I don't have the code easily available when I'm trying to check things out for you. The link doesn't even go straight to the relevant code so it makes the job a lot harder. Remember I don't have your project to look at. I have to rely on what you post.
  2. If the code is not posted in a single point of reference within CODE tags that assign numbers to each line then communicating what is going wrong, and where, will be a problem.
  3. The chances of the code being an exact copy are slim (I have some experience of this so I know what I'm talking about). Even if you say it is, I still have to rely on your not overlooking something.
  4. I asked you to post your code. As I'm offering to try to help with your problems, not posting the code could be considered pretty bad manners. That's fine of course. Why should I care. I'm not responsible for your manners. I may decide that I don't want the bother of dealing with someone exhibiting such manners though. That is my choice.
I think you can see where I'm going with this.

Good luck finding help with your problem.

I told you the code and I told you the error. The post I linked to (on this forum) had even less information, yet it was answered without any complaints.

The time you have spent asking for information could have been used to actually help me. Thanks for wasting my time.

@sparkzilla
Would that I could take the credit there. I'm afraid you managed that all by yourself. I'm not about to let you waste any more of mine.

You're more than welcome to a full refund though.
