how do you populate one table with data from another table?

I have two tables and both have identical fields for the most part. Both tables are linked by product id. One table is used for entering actual data. Table two contains the specs/target numbers for each product. What I want to do is when I enter the product name in the form for table 1 I want it to automatically populate the data from table 2 based on the product name.

We will need a greater amount of information in order to proceed, such as:

1. Table 1 Name.
2. Table 2 Name.
3. Fields in Table 1 plus their Data Types.
4. Fields in Table 2 plus their Data Types.
5. Linking Fields between the Tables, and their Data Types.
6. Is there a 1 to 1, or 1 to MANY Relationship between the Tables?
7. What is your Form Name?
8. How are you entering the Product Name into the Form? (Text Box, Combo Box, etc.)?
9. What is the Name of this Field that will contain the entered Product Name?
10. Once you enter a Product Name, will other Fields in the Form be populated from Table 2?
11. If other Form Fields are populated from Table 2, are these Fields Bound?
12. I think you get the idea by now...

In the taste/analysis form I want to create a combox for the "code", once you have chosen the code I want it automatically populate the "beer" field with the name of the beer. The rest of it is not that important. What I wanted was that when you chose a "beer" you'd see the data from the "beer spec" table next to the corresponding field in the taste analysis form. That way the person entering the information could see the actual date next to the target data(spec).
