How do I get a textbox to autofill another textbox with info from a linked form

I have two forms

Forms#1 is (Inventory Register)
Fields: OasisID (Text)
RegisterID (AutoNumber)
Item Description (Memo)

Form#2 is (Item Transfered)
OasisID (Text)
RegisteredID (AutoNumber)
Item Description (Memo)

When I enter the OasisID in the (Item Transfered) Form I would like it to locate the matching item Description from the Item Description field in the (Inventory Register Form)

Also I'm having a hard time creating a search form in access that allows me to search Items using a unbound textbox.

Your two forms sound suspiciously like they are either based on the same table, or based on tables that are identical. Is one or the other of these suggestions true? If so, why do you have it set up this way?

Normally this would be done not by using "linked" forms, but by pulling the description from the table it resides in.

A little more exacting description of the scenario here is in order, I think.

This problem is I have the inventory register which is the table/form that i have set up so that new items can be entered into the database. Than I have the Items Transfered table/form for when the items have to be transfered out to another department. I'm not sure how to get the items that are selected to be transfered to be indicated in the inventory registry
