Looking for help calling 'Acrobat Distiller' using an API in Access with VBA code

I am looking for any help with calling 'Acrobat Distiller' using an API from within Access. I have searched on the Internet and it is so very confusing!! I have the product installed but am looking for a way to automate combining of a access report that I write out as a PDF file AND a word document into one single PDF. Thought that Distiller might be the way to go, just can't find enough info to figure out how to to it using VB code. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

there is a very good set of APIs for Adobe Acrobat for export or combining documents. Take a look at the sample code in the SDK.

And no, you don't use Distiller.
this is the link for the SDK
