Sub Report Data showing as seperate page for each Record

171 100+
Hi,
I have a report with only a header and a footer, I want to put a sub report in as the reports detail, the sub report has 3 records and then a Sum at the end, for the sum I have created a sorting and grouping group called "0" and the sum is in "=0 Footer". I then put the sub report in the Detail section of the main report, when I run the Sub Report separatley, it shows as 3 records in the report, but when I run the main report including the sub report in the detail section, it shows each record in a different page? I would like the 3 records to appear on the same page of the main report same as they are coming up in the sub report.

Thanks

You haven't actually told us any of the settings that control page separating for any of your objects.

I'm not sure if this is relevant (too little info) but I'm also not sure about creating a "0" group when you already have a report footer. Maybe you could explain your rationale for this too.

Hi NeoPa...Page separating? To tell you the truth I have no idea of what I'm doing, the only reason I created the "0" group was because I read on a forum that I would be able to see the Footer and Header of a sub report in the main report that way. Where should I get the page separating controls information from?

That may be true, but I would expect the report header and footer to work in a similar way and provide the acces you need. I've never tried explicitly with subreports though.

For each section (other than Page header & footer themselves) there are properties called Force New Page & Keep Together.
