MS Word: WordBasic.ToolsCalculate()

Hi everyone

Does anyone know if the tools calculate function still works in Word 2007?

An old Word macro template has recently been converted to 2007 and one of the macros keeps giving a result !Syntax Error. I've googled this error and all I could find was that this error is produced when there is an exclamation mark in the text. This is not the case in this document and I have double checked and tried it out on various documents to be sure.

I also tried using the Tools Calculate function manually with mixed results. Some of the figures were not being included in the calculation.

Any hints or direction would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mary

Hey pdog,

Thanks for the direction. Unfortunately I don't think it helps. 2007 doesn't have a tools menu in Word. I have customised the Quick Access Toolbar to show the Calculate command but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

Mary,
sorry about that. I thought I gave you a 2007 reference ....The tools menu for word is now under the Office Options button.

Office Button=>Word Options (bottom of the list) or the shortcut keys from Word 2003 for Tools=>Options (Alt, T, O) will get you to
Word options in 2007.

You'll find interactive guide and spreadsheet
