I can't get my report to a PDF

Hi,

I have a report that takes a fair few queries to generate, and I guess this is the problem. I am able to create a snapshot file, but I'm unable to create a PDF. I thought it might be because of the PDF writer I was using, but I've got Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro installed now and still no joy. When I try I get either a message box saying "Abobe PDF Printer failed to create the PDF file", or if I choose the file>Print> Adobe PDF option I get a .log file gobbledegook file.

Does anyone know if there's anything I can do? I'm able to create many other reports with no problem. Snapshot is an issue for some of my recipients!

Cheers

That sounds very much like an Acrobat / OS problem to me Dave I'm afraid.

I use an older version of Acrobat, but no problems.

Oh well! It was worth a try. It must be the OS as I've tried a few versions of Acrobat around the network. If anyone was interested in what came out in the .log file here it is:

I think this looks like a crash in the software (Adobe Distiller).

I would try uninstalling and re-installing the Adobe suite. There's a chance this may fix it. If not. it'll do no harm other than wasting a few minutes of your time.
