click on Email address

P: 52
HI - don't know if this is possible, but:

If I have a field that holds an email address, can a user click on the email address which then opens - say Outlook - and enables them to send an email to that address?

I am working in Access 2007.

Thanks heaps in advance,

I believe that's possible, although it may get quite fiddly.

Have a look at Application Automation and see if that's the sort of thing you're prepared to get into.

I don't believe there's a simpler way using ActiveX links, but I may be wrong there.

Thanks NeoPa - I will look into that but it may take me out of my depth - I have hit another problem but will start a new thread with that!

Thanks again.

Automatic emailing would be a lot simpler if not for all the malicious email traffic out there. Every method you try comes up against measures put in place to stop the malware :(
