Create Excel data source with FULL path name

Hello,

I have created several pivot tables using external data for which I had to set up a new data source. The data source is a Microsoft Access database. I'm encountering a problem when trying to refresh the pivot tables from another user's computer, as they have a different drive letter mapped to the server where the Access database resides. I'm trying to get the data source to include the FULL path name (which begins with a server name, not a drive letter - "\\kaci-fs-05"). However, when selecting the Access database as the data source, you must select a drive letter and there is nowhere to alter the path name when setting up the data source. Is there a way I can do this with VBA? Can I do it some other way? Please help!!! Thanks.

When searching for the database to link to, simply specify the full UNC name in the File name:.

Worked perfectly. I never thought the solution would be so easy! Thanks!

No worries. I use it myself from time to time.
