Hi guys
What I need to do should be pretty simple. I have a single table database we use to keep passwords and usernames in. I want to build a small search form where I can search by last name of first name.
The fields in my table are LNAME and FNAME. Can you help?

How would you want the situation handled where there were more than one matching result?
Would you allow the operator to enter partials in both boxes before hitting a Search button, or would the mere entering of a string in either TextBox trigger the search?

Is it in fact necessary to use TextBoxes at all? Would ComboBoxes (where the operator types a partial and the control selects the first matching entry) not suit your needs better (A bit tricky to select from both at the same time)?

PS. Lots of questions I know, but we need to have an understanding of what you're actually asking before submitting an answer that may not be appropriate.

You could have a subform and update it's records shown based on the text entered in the control. You can use LIKE in the filter or the WHERE clause for the recordset.
