combo box not updating

I'm currently using Access 2003 to create a simple form. I am using two tables of information to go into this form.

One table I named "Categories" with fields of "CategoryID" and "CategoryName"
The other table is "Products" with fields of "ProductName", "ProductID", and "CategoryID". I have a relationship between the two so each product is in one of the selected categories.

I created a form with two combo boxes. The first combo box for the "Category" and the second for the "Product". When I select the a category, the product combo box will display the correct products, but if i switch categories the product combo box doesn't update, it just remains the same.

I have check my row source many times and everything appears to be correct.

What am I doing wrong??

THANK YOU

Hi, and Welcome to Bytes!

If you want Access to change the contents of one combo in sympathy with the other you will need to change the rowsource property of the combo using VBA code from the After Update event of the first combo.

We have an Insight article on Cascading Combo/List Boxes which may help you with this.
