MS Access to database (Copy a Database)

P: 1
hey, I am trying to copy and make a stand-alone database. When I try to import tables i get this error: You do not have necessary permissions to use S:/.........mdb
Have the system admin or the person who has created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you.
I am the admin of the database. I make design changes and write code. I would just like to copy the tables, query, report, modules/etc. I keep getting this error message. Please help.... Thanks

If you are using Access built in security and the security.mdw file for the database is not the default one on the pc you are working at, you will get this problem. To get around it you can open the origional database, close the database without closing access and then start your new one. This way you are still logged into the appropiate security.mdw when you create the new database.
