Attach back mdb database

Dear All,

Urgent help needed.

I got an Access database as frontend and SQL as backend. This afternoon I tried to copy the backend to another server. Following some suggestion, I detached my database from Enterprise Manager. The problem is that I can not attach back my database anymore. The error message is "the file you'v specified is not a valid SQL database".

One more thing I noticed is that I have the following three file formats:
Kit.mdb
Kit.LNK
Secured.mdw

for a valid SQL database it should be .mdf plus .log

Can you please please help?

check out Tony Toew's web site. He has a wide variety of tools for the back end, the front end, etc. and the following reference troublshoots the Back End update process.

I'm not sure if this will actually work, but how about?
  1. Create a New Access Project using an existing SQL Database.
  2. Point the Project Front End to the moved SQL Server Database.
  3. Import all the required Objects from the *.adp which previously was functional.

Thank you so much ADezii & Puppydogbuddy for your suggestion and link.

I have just managed to figure out my problem. The valid SQL database was stored in a "secret" different folder! Anyway, do appreciate your help.

Have a nice day.
