Two field values displayed in Combo text area after selecting a lookup item

P: 1
I would like to display two field values in a combo after selecting from the list items...
i.e. my drop-down shows two fields from a lookup, but when I select the item, only the first field value is shown in the combo text area (at the top)...

(bound field is invisible)

e.g. Currently seeing (standard behavior)
[ drop-down ]
drop-down | 1
drop-down | 2
drop-down | 3
drop-down | 4

I am shooting for...
[ drop-down | 3 ]
drop-down | 1
drop-down | 2
drop-down | 3
drop-down | 4

Is there a way I can get both fields to display ??

Hi. The combo on its own cannot display two values after selection. It is really a single textbox display combined with a drop-down list for selection purposes. You can place an unbound textbox beside your combo to display the value from the next column. To show the value from the third column of our combo (assuming the first column is hidden and the second displayed at present) set the unbound textbox's rowsource property to

=[name of your combo].Column(2)

Columns are numbered from 0 left to right (0 = leftmost) and their values are available using the Column property even if the corresponding selection list column is hidden (i.e. the width of that column is set to 0 in the combo's properties).

To ensure that users can't tab into the unbound textbox or try to edit it in any way set its enabled property to No and locked to Yes.
