Displaying data in a Query

Hi All.

I have two tables, one with all my products listed and ones that are sold. In a query, I am looking for a way to link them so that the ones that are sold are not displayed in the query showing stock remaining. I was trying to do it using a NOT function in the Criteria section of design view but haven't been able to get it working.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

Can you give us the exact SQL of your query so that we could check if you miss a condition.

I'm not using any SQL i'm just using the criteria option in the design view of the query, Do i need to do it in SQL?

Sorry i'll make that a bit clearer. I have 2 tables.

Productinfo ProductSold
AssetNumber AssetNumber
S/N S/N
Price Location
Date Date

Productinfo: Stores all products that have been through the store.
ProductSold: Contains all the products sold.

They are both linked by S/N. All I need to do is create a query that will show what
remains in the productinfo table by using the ProductSold table.

So what i want is. NewQuery = Productinfo - ProductSold, where only the S/N's there are sold are taken away and it leaves me with the remaining stock. I am only using the Design view mode as i am not strong on SQL at all. Hope this is more explanatory.

Hi,

please try to use <> as not equal before the 'Criteria'

sample:

<> ProductSold

if <> does not work.. please provide the sql of the query by going to the design of the query... then Go to View > SQL View. there you could find the sql.

:)
