Advice Wanted on 2 Small Queries

129 100+
Hi I am just wanting to know what is the best procedure for the following issues;

If i open a form that can contain rows of data but doesn't always. What is the best way to display a message stating the form you tried opening contains no information. I know it would be an if statement as it is not always the case. Dont really know how to detect whether a form is carrying data or not. Not done this before so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have a List box query displaying grouped results of data, i would like to put in a tick box in the query if certain procedures have been completed. How do i place optional answers within queries. I have tried a normal tick box on the form and relating to the queries but was unsuccessful as the query has many lines of data. Any help of this matter would also be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Hey Constantine AI:

From what your asking, you're not being at all clear as to the names of the form(s) or control(s) that are involved, how the query or queries you've already constructed look like? You just simply asked a question that we couldn't not even begin to answer without more detail.

Can you proved the following information:

1. List out all table structures that are involved with the question.
example:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Table Name
  2. ==================================================
  3. Field Name          Field Type             Size             If Primary Key
  4. --------------------------------------------------
  5.
2. Copy and paste any of the queries that you've written into your response
3. Provide more details as to what you currently have and the problem that you're trying to achieve.

I await your response.
