SEEK command on MEMO fields. Characters limitation

P: n/a
I am using DAO360 and Seek command on table with MEMO field (indexed,
but not primary key). It seems that
Seek command searches only for 255 characters, not more. Am I right ?

Is it a bug ? Because in documentation of Seek I did not find
limitation in
characters to be searched...

Thanks a lot in advance!

Yes, I need to search for more than 255 characters as these info I
receive them from other system. I will count the characters of text,
if it is < 255, I will use seek, otherwise I will use find first for
searching... Seek is the fastest search, that's why I want to use it...
